I love the fringe dresses, escpecially the violet one. The shoes are pretty cool too. It's all very wearable, not too comlicated. The tailoring is mostly buisness-like with some romantic-goth-rock mixture added to it. Alongside the business-like clothes there are also pretty let's-take-a-walk-in.the-park-dresses and sporty-cool coats found in the collection. Even the new teddy-bear-coat trend is found. The collection takes old looks and converts them into new designs with new materials. The basic tailoring of the fringe-, A-line- and jersey dresses reminds you of retro dresses, but the texture, the materials, and the colours drive far away from "old" and makes the designs appear new and modern. In my eyes, it's a very succsessful colletion.

Lovestruck at a Party

Dress: Lovestruck
Button-down shirt: Urban Outfitters
knee highs and striped shirt: H&M
leggings: Primark
shoes: vintage

Now you all know my flat iron! I call it Peter. I call almost everything Peter.
Tonight, I am going to a party. I am not invited to that party, but a friend of mine called me and asked if I wanted to come. She isn't really invited herself and doesn't know anyone there either. I probably will be overdressed like always (for these kind of parties). I guess, that's all there is to say, appart from one thing maybe. The dress is see-through, that's why I'm wearing a balck american apperall skirt underneath. Normally I wouldn't care, but I'm going to be overdressed anyways, I don't want them to think I'm naked too.

PS.: My band, The Karaokes, was mentionied in a Zwiepsalt blog-entry.

Tioletpaperclub

Yesterday my best friend, Ines, and me have been to her favourite club, because there was an 80ies night. I admit, our clothes haven't been very 80ies style but I wanted to blog about my dress scince I got it, so, there you go.

T-shirt-dress: DIY army shop;
leggings: C&A;
sneakers:??

dress: Topshop
knee highs and striped shirt: H&M
heels: Tally Waijl

You will probably hate me, knowing I've got Tally Waijl heels, but, I promise, they're fabulous! They look awsome (you can't see that in the pictures, you'll just have to trust me), and they don't hurt that much, above that they only cost 25€, which makes them even better.
I need to apologize for the stupid faces, but it wasn't very bright, so we couldn't really see what our faces looked like on my teeny tiny camera (plus it's only a normal digital camera, it doesn't have SLR).

Burberry Porosum Fall 2010

Pictures via Style.com

I really like the fact that these (or most of these) clothes actually look pretty warm (and some even cozy). I bet your feet won't freeze in those amazing shoes, but maybe you're better off wearing something underneath the lace-blouse.
I like the shades of blue in this collection, not so much the greens and browns. But I'm not at all a brown person and after all, blue is the most popular colour on this planet.
I think my favourite piece in this collection is the dark green sewater/shirt in the last picture (though I have to say, the skirt makes me wanna puke).

There's one thing I will never understand: The hype on over the knee boots. I hardly ever see a pair I like. So far, I found one pair that I liked. I think it was either YSL or LV. Or something completely different.
All in all, I have to admit, I liked the SS 2010 collection better. But thumbs up for keeping us warm next fall!

White Lies (truly lie)

On November 10th 2009 there was supposed to be a White Lies gig in Vienna. It never took place due to Harry McVeighs, the singers, voice not working. We, their fans, were promised a new show in February. This "show" was yesterday. I nearly couldn't go, because of some problems with my dad and work (what is the same in general). A collegue of mine had to work a double-shift (he wanted to anyways) to make it possible for me to see White Lies live in concert! The support band, and here I will quote my sister, "play faceless, less than mediocre indie rock songs, plagiarising shamelessly." (Click to read her full rant about the support band, go on, it's funny!) At ten, White Lies finally entered the stage. Harry McVeigh didn't look that great, but I was to distracted by the drummer looking like Nicholas Hoult.

Hot piece of shit, I know. (You don't really see it in the pictures, I like the pictures though.) Also, the drummer is very skilled!
However, already in the first song, Harrys voice cracked! It literally cracked! When he was singing, you saw the pain it caused him, in his face. It did fit the mood of the songs though. Anyways, my sister, our friend and I felt very sorry for him and expected nothing else then what happened. After 3 songs, Harry told us, they were going to take a 5 minute break, to let the drugs (as in medicine) kick in. Two minutes later, a promoter appeared onstage and told us that White Lies were going to play one more song, and how sorry they are, but that Harry just could't make it without probably dying (I'm overdoing this here), and that they'll think of some sort of refund/another gig with the old, used tickets.

I can't wait for next time, those 4 songs were awsome! Hopefully, next time, there'll be no voice-cracking of any sort. And hopefully, there is going to be a next time! And hopefully, there'll be no venue-change!

London Fashion Week on Fashion156

Pictures via Fashion 156

I just saw the London Fashion Week Preview on Fashion156 and picked out a few designs I liked most in Men- and Womenwear. I like the shapes, the colours and the materials a lot. It's not too special. It's wearable. I like wearable clothes. There is more to see here and here. There is even some DIY inspiration in the Menswear accessory.

Black Milk Clothing

I always dreamt of that one perfect leggings I saw on Queen Michelle at Kingdom of Style. Somehow I never bothered to click the link that leads you to the shop (probably because I'm stupid and lazy). Yesterday evening, I finally did, and found myself in Leggings-heaven. I downloaded their Lookbook imediatly and found more amazing shit then I already saw! Unfortunately they are too expensive for my empty pockets.

LA LA LA LONDON

I know, I know. I promised you a post about London, as soon as I came back. Well, guess what, I was busy!
Four days was way to short for a trip to London, but being as spontaneous as I am, I couldn't stay longer, because I needed to come back to work.
Being in London reminded me about Vienna being such a shithole, it's hard to believe we have fire yet! There are, of course, a few people in Vienna who know what's cool, but I get bored of always meeting the same people (no offence, I luv y'all). I want FRESH MEAT! That's exactly what I got in London (even the 15 year old boys are hot there). Just look at that adorably cool boy!

At Sunday-up Market, at Brick Lane, I had a very positive surprise. They added more stalls and a very own vintage section (where I found the boy).

At Camden, my friend Laura and I found ourselfs in necklace-heaven. Here are just a few cute ones we came across.

Of course, we needed some sugar too!

At the evenings we were mostly galavanting about in Pubs, mainly because everything we wanted to do was sold out! But we are lucky girls and went to a very beautiful Pub at Hoxton Square called Ziegfried von Underbellies. We sat outside when a guy came over and asked us, if we were going downstairs to see the band. We didn't even know there was a band playing that night, so he told us it was the Artic Monkeys bass-players band and gave us tickets for free, which would normally cost a tenner! The Band was quite good. Forgot their name though.

Dress: Urban Outfitters

London was great! I can't wait for August, when I'm back for two weeks again. I can't wait for the Museums, the sun and the clubs!

Money change

Since I'm flying to London tomorrow, I thought it would be nice to have your euroes changed in Pounds. As a matter of fact, you always get millions of twenties and tenners at the bank, because, apparently brits don't have fifties or hundreds (not over here at least). When I left the bank, I had an envelope full of money and felt very drugdealerish. (I love envelopes full of money!) Anyways, the day got by and I finally came to packing, noticing my dad took the perfact suitcase to egypt! But I found that very cool, old suitcase that we must have since forever. Problem is, it's a very very tiny tiny suitcase, and this is mainly a shopping trip. Being a bit crazy I took measurements of my other small suitcase/bag and it is smaller than the max. hand luggage is allowed to be! So I'm having my handbag in my old suitcase and I am using my suitcase/bag as my hand luggage just to be sure to be able to buy enough clothes for 20 people (I'm just buying clothes for me by the way). The interesting part of the whole buying-clothes thing is that my mother recently told me I was crazy because my closet is the biggest one in the flat and there don't fit anymore clothes in.
Ah! Sorry, I got carried away again. Back to the money: So I had all these tenners and twenties and two fivers and I though, now I could do something I always wanted to do! Something even more drugdealerish, and here is what I did!

There! See how small those suitcases are?! And this is ALL I am taking with me. Towel, Pyjamas, underwear, socks, Treggings, two t-shirts and a dress.

I am not going to be able to blog while I'm in London, but you're going to get a HUGE post afterwards! Promise!

Btw, my band is playing on 13th February at Camera Club "Homo in Heaven Valentines Special" in Vienna, be there, or book us at your city! Or tell everyone in your city to book us!
